Oh Hail No! Hail Storm Damages and more... Metal corrugated roofing and metal trailer = dents, but no holes. A lesson to be noted.
The agave plants will be fine. They won't look very nice for a fairly long time because those damaged leaves will be hanging around for many months, but takes MUCH worse treatment than this to kill one of these plants. As new growth emerges from the center, the damaged leaves at the bottom of the rosette can be cut off if they look too offensive.
Sorry for your problems with the hail. I must say you have the best attitude of any one I know.
I wish had your attitude.
Would something like chain link fencing and hardware cloth have help over the roof??? Over the green house??
Since you were answering all my questions (that I didn’t ask you) I asked if you were psychic. I guess this video proves you aren’t. Next project a camp trailer garage?
now you have to build is a nuclear shelter
very big storm im sorry 4 a lost
Jesus that was bad.... Are you in Arizona by chance? If so, I wonder if that was the same storm that messed up my roof...
I just now found this vid after watching the Tufftex greenhouse build. Seeing it turned to Swiss Cheese by the storm was awful, but I did take something away from it, as I'm planning a bump-out, shed-style addition to my barn as greenhouse space. After seeing your hail video, I'll make sure it's on the steep side. Thank you, and I'm glad you, family and home were not hurt.
So sorry
Sorry for all your hard work, but it goes to show how well you build. Chin up.
My daughter's VW convertible top survived much larger hail then this, I was surprised, tho it did break the front windshield. I'll never forget the sound of cue ball size hail coming down the street, it sounded like a train rumbling towards us.
How are your plants recovering? I live a few miles north of you but didn't get that amount of hail.
Great attitude Joe, keep up the good work inspiring us through your work, perseverance & spirit !
I used Suntuf Commercial Polycarbonate and it has withstood golfball sized hail with zero damage. Tuff stuff!
what about insurance?
WTF
Wow! Amen, count your blessings, it could have been much worse. Very sad and heartbreaking though, especially the green house and camper.
i'm so sad about the news. but you are strong man. i wish that your family get well soon.
